Bereavement
Even though the causes of sudden deaths vary substantially, what brings them all together is that they are unexpected and therefore unanticipated. There is no time to say goodbye or prepare for the loss of these people. Therefore, their loss is a shock to them.
Red Deer Victim Services provides compassionate support for families and individuals dealing with the death of a loved one.
Please visit Service Canada or the Alberta Government website for more information on dealing with a death and what to do when someone passes away.
Note:
Red Deer City Victim Services Unit Volunteer Advocates are not counselors but are there to assist in partnership with other agencies in conducting a defusing and/or debriefing(s).
