Our Victim Services Unit is police-based and works with the Red Deer City Detachment of the RCMP to provide support, information and referrals to residents of the City of Red Deer who are victims of a crisis, trauma or tragedy.

Our Mission Statement

Our Victim Services Unit is police-based and works with the Red Deer City Detachment of the RCMP to provide support, information and referrals to residents of the City of Red Deer who are victims of a crisis, trauma or tragedy.  Support is provided through home visit(s), office visit(s), phone contact(s) and court accompaniment. Home visits are only conducted if there are no safety concerns for our advocates. Initial contact is made with the victim by phone in order to offer assistance, comfort, support and referrals to other agencies where appropriate.
